Purpose and Scope The Technical Project Manager will assist in overseeing and managing all technical and administrative aspects of a new vehicle and/or overhaul procurement programs, and other vehicles as assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities Principal Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Sr.
Technical Project Manager in managing the development of technical specifications, related commercial terms, and the technical portion of bid evaluations for overhaul and procurement programs.
Assist in the development of work scopes and budgets for technical consultants and subsequent consultant selections and in the coordination of technical project activities in the Operations Directorate.
Provide ongoing oversight and technical direction of a new vehicle and/or overhaul procurement programs.
Manage all professional engineering services which support vehicle programs.
Ensure that all inventory levels, equipment, and facilities under their control are protected in a safe operating condition.
Drive a company or personal vehicle to visit work sites.
Assist in managing an Authority staff consisting of engineers and administrative personnel.
Assist in the development of long-range planning of vehicle requirements to ensure budgetary goals are met and that all work is perfumed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Respond, either directly or through others, to emergencies twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week.
Respond to each inquiry in a courteous and professional manner consistent with the Authority's customer service quality standard.
Uphold the rights and interests of the Authority while building and maintaining an effective relationship with employees; assist in the management of a workforce by ensuring the fair and consistent application and strict adherence to the rules, regulations, and collective bargaining agreements (if applicable) and policies of the Authority including the EEO, Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment and Anti Retaliation policies; and perform related duties and projects as assigned.

Supervision None Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Minimum Education A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum Experience and Required Skills Five (5) years of experience in subway/bus vehicle maintenance and/or vehicle engineering experience.
One (1) year supervisory and/or lead experience Experience managing and overseeing technical projects Possess a valid driver's license.
Effective organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent customer service and presentation skills.
The ability to use Word, Excel, Database, or Main Frame applications.
Have the ability to work with a diverse workforce.

Substitutions A High School Diploma or GED with an additional seven (7) years of directly related experience substitutes for the Bachelor's degree requirement.
An Associate's degree from an accredited institution and an additional three (3) years of directly related experience substitute for the Bachelor's degree requirement.
A Master's degree in a related subject substitute for two (2) years of general experience.
A nationally recognized certification, or statewide/professional certification in a related field substitutes for one year of experience Job Conditions Possess a valid driver's license.
