5K a year Rita's Catering is looking for an exemplary Sandwich Maker! The Sandwich Maker is responsible for preparing delicious and high-quality sandwiches according to customer preferences and company standards.
This role requires attention to detail, culinary skills, and a passion for creating satisfying meals for customers.

Responsibilities:
Sandwich Preparation:
Prepare sandwiches according to recipes and customer specifications, ensuring consistency in portion sizes, ingredients, and presentation.
Handle and assemble a variety of sandwich ingredients, including meats, cheeses, vegetables, condiments, and spreads.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment.
Customer Service:
Interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner, taking orders and providing recommendations as needed.
Address customer inquiries and requests promptly and professionally, striving to exceed their expectations.
Maintain a positive attitude and ensure customer satisfaction through prompt service and high-quality food.
Food Quality Control:
Monitor food quality and freshness, ensuring that all ingredients meet company standards and regulatory requirements.
Inspect and rotate ingredients to minimize waste and maximize freshness.
Adhere to portion control guidelines to maintain food costs and profitability.
Equipment Maintenance:
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including sandwich presses, knives, slicers, and toasters.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment, such as cleaning and sanitizing, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor or manager.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members to coordinate sandwich production and service during peak periods.
Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and timely order fulfillment.
Assist with other kitchen tasks and duties as needed, such as food preparation, stocking, and cleaning.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience 1
year(s) in a food service or kitchen environment, preferably in sandwich making or food preparation.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and customer-focused demeanor.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical stamina and dexterity to stand for extended periods, lift and carry supplies, and operate kitchen equipment.
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing menu items and customer preferences.
